We have just come back from a fantastic 2-month stay, and it truly felt like a home from home. Everything you could possibly need was provided, and the lodge itself was spotlessly clean and very spacious, making it comfortable from the moment we arrived.
One of the standout features for us was the large outdoor decking area. It’s beautifully set up with two settees, two chairs and a 4-seater dining table with a parasol, perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The gas-fired BBQ was another great touch. It was exceptionally clean and came fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, plus a really handy, easy-clean sheet that sits on top of the grill — a small detail that made using it even more enjoyable and something we had never seen before either!!
Being on the sunny side of the street meant that when the sun was up, we enjoyed this from early morning right through to the evening, which really made a difference, especially when trying to escape the UK winter.
Communication with Ian, the owner, was first class from the initial booking and throughout our stay. He was helpful, responsive, and made everything straightforward and stress-free.
We were so impressed that we’ve already booked to return for a further two months in February and September 2027.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing stay — it really is 5-star in every way, just like the Almafra camping site itself.
Had a holiday here first week in January. The mobile is beautiful and very spacious. The decking area is fabulous.
The weather was terrible when we were there, but it was fine as the heating in the mobile was brilliant, and it has a very comfortable sofa to have a night in watching movies, English TV provided.
I would definitely go back again

We had a fantastic stay between Christmas and New Year. The caravan is clean and had everything needed during our stay – the location was brilliant, particularly being on the sunny side!
The campsite is brilliantly located with both bus and tram links to explore the local area and a range of activities and entertainment every evening.
We will definitely return!
